Limpid, with a beautiful, very intense ruby red colour. Pleasant nose, straight and fine, with small wild berry hints. reveals aromas of fruit. The mouth is round, supple,velvety,greedy with almost unpredictable tannins and a very present fruit.

A harmonious and fruity Côtes du Jura.

In order to create a harmonious Côtes du Jura we selected our best plots. The soils are very varied: Bajocian limestones, calcareous scree and marls on the plots attached to the hillside, to various clays, Lias and Trias on lands further forward, of variable depth but always sitting on Marls which may be exposed.


A patchwork of complex terroirs articulated around multiple faults.

The work in the vines, is based on the respect of the nature and the soil. For young vines, located on steep slopes, to avoid erosion, we cultivate a row out of two, practice soil reassembly to aerate the lands subjected to settlement due to moisture, and grass with plants. Such as clover, which, by competing on the vine, can modulate its mineral and water supply and control its vigor and yield. The Guyot double size is necessary for the Pinot Noir to better control its performance. The restructuring of the vines contributes to the harmony of our cuvée: the young vines bring the exuberance, the freshness and the acidity. While the older specimens bring the structure and character.

Reception of the manual harvest in early September, with sorting on sorting table.
Total maceration of 12 days in thermoregulated stainless steel tank. Followed regularly throughout the fermentation, incorporating some pumping and pigeage. At the moment of pressing, the press and drop juices of each cuvee are assembled and withdrawn for malolactic fermentation on fine lees.

100% of the cuvée, ageing for 6 months in 2 & 3-year oak casks, allowing to enlarge the aromatic palette.

Bottled in June 2018, with a light filtration.

The Jura wine region is small in size but large in its remarkable diversity. It covers 80 kilometres between Burgundy and Switzerland, in the eastern France. Created in 1937, the AOC (designation of origin) of Cotes du Jura is omnipresent in the north and south of the vineyard, on varied and contrasting terroirs. It is the second leading AOC in Jura in terms of production, and it engages all five of the Jura's grape varieties. The whole range of wines of the Jura is represented, although the whites dominate - still or sparkling - with wines that are round, fruity, and generous.

A SMALL, BUT EXCELLENT HARVEST
This vintage was marked by very early budburst, which meant the spring frosts hit particularly hard this year, affecting half of the Henri Maire estate. The young shoots were very susceptible, but luckily, the growth cycle continued normally, and the resulting fruit was in excellent health.
The harvests began on 24 August with the crémants and ended on 13 September. The first tastings were very promising, with indulgent and fruity wines.




Pinot Noir is often blended with other varieties, for its flavour and cellaring potential. It can also be enjoyed as a single-varietal wine. Planted since the 15th century on gravelly soil, it is often the first vine variety to ripen in the Jura. It gives red wines with a strong colour and hints of wild mushrooms, cherries and wild berries.
